To summarize, pros of the Paleo Diet:
-strongly supports eating non-processed foods
-has highlighted choosing grassfed animal proteins
-excessive amounts of animal protein (which are packaged with saturated fat, trans fat, cholesterol, and sodium) puts strain on organs, especially the kidneys
-high intake of animal proteins is associated with a much greater risk for heart disease
-Since beans and grains are out, there are very few sources of plant proteins
-very hard to maintain
As a general rule, be wary of diets that remove entire food groups.
