Welcome to my Valentine’s Day Special video…..I hope you enjoy making and eating my Chocolate Raspberry Macadamia Nut Truffles, and the arts and crafts portion of the video too, if you choose to make the chocolate box!! In addition to delighting people with these decadent treats, the health benefits are outstanding, so you’ll be feeling great about giving them to someone you love, like, or as a thank you…..I make these throughout the year, but only bring out the heart shaped mold once a year!! ;-) The list of health benefits are:
Macadamia Nuts: Vitamin A, protein, thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, folates, iron, zinc, copper, calcium, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, antioxidants, amini acids, flavones, and selenium.
Dark Chcolate: Don’t go nuts, but in moderation, proven heart health benefits, due to the antioxidants, flavanols, and phytochemicals, cholesterol control due to polyphenols (LDL down, HDL up)
Coconut Oil: Increases good cholesterol, reduces bad cholesterol, regulates blood sugar levels, anti inflammatory, helps liver function, good appetite suppressant.
Raspberries: Packed with fiber, lots of vitamin C, antioxidant!!
